Developers of The Plaza Hotel say they are still moving ahead.

Several recent news reports say that the financing for the purchase of the land for the future The Plaza Hotel Las Vegas has been extended. According to the reports, the loans were related to developer ELAD Properties’ purchase of the land (that once sat under the Frontier). While the financing extension is encouraging, the fact that the developer says they still plan on moving ahead next year is something happy to look forward to.
Lamborghini showroom opens at Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino.

On August 9th, 2008, Lamborghini opened their latest showroom, this time at the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. At approx. 20,000 square feet, the newest showroom gives Lamborghini approx. 34 showrooms in North America.
Boyd Gaming announces putting Echelon on hold.

An under-construction, multi-billion-dollar mega-resort property on the Las Vegas Strip has been put on hold by its developer, Boyd Gaming. After speaking to a historian and a professor, they tell me this is the biggest construction stoppage on the Strip since the 1940s.

Yesterday, Liz Benston of the Las Vegas Sun mentioned one of my penthouse sales at The Harmon Hotel, Spa & Residences at MGM MIRAGE CityCenter. Over the past two years, it has been extremely difficult to get the media to report positive news about the Las Vegas real estate market - even when it’s factual and record breaking.
